About the job

This position is needed to detect emerging fraud trends and behaviors on Twilio Network, across all channels - voice, messaging and email. You will work on researching new fraud behaviors by analyzing industry trends and analyzing billions of events using AI tools.

In this role, you'll

• Perform independent research using AI tools to identify novel emerging fraud trends

• Work with data scientists to create ML models to detect fraud behaviors at scale

• Continuously stress test our network for vulnerabilities

• Analyze large-scale messaging and voice traffic to identify novel patterns of fraudulent activity, including AIT and ATO.

• Develop and execute proactive fraud mitigation strategies to protect customers and the network.

• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to refine detection models and reduce false positives.

• Conduct in-depth investigations into high-impact fraud incidents, providing root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.

• Monitor industry trends in fraud and bot detection to maintain a competitive defense posture.

*Required

• 5+ years of experience in fraud investigations, trust & safety, or security analysis within a high-growth tech environment or large-scale distributed systems.

• Advanced expertise in complex data analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools to query large-scale datasets and uncover novel fraud behaviors or systemic abuses.

• Proven track record of designing and executing proactive fraud mitigation strategies to protect platform integrity and minimize risk exposure.

• Strong cross-functional incident response leadership with the ability to translate complex security risks into clear, actionable business strategies for
