Purpose : To lead the Project Controls team and manage all project planning, scheduling and cost management activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and required project services are delivered to Worley, and its client’s requirements. The Role As a Senior Project Control Specialist with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc. Lead the team, manage employee development and support career progression for the function. Ensure the services the team deliver meet project requirements to specified quality, on time and are within budget. Drive a culture of accountability within the group and enforce necessary measures when performance is inadequate. Drive a culture of ‘doing it right first time’ and delivering high quality deliverables that are part of fit for purpose solutions. Drive adoption of GID’s new way of operating. Build capability in the function to match capability needs identified by Works Management. Support implementation of a high performance delivery and unified GID organisational culture which spans across geographic locations and cultures. When necessary, perform project controls services. Ensure Continuous Improvement through the implementation of an Annual Improvement Plan and addressing lessons learnt. Develop, implement, improve and maintain Worley project controls systems, processes, practices and procedures. Review proposals for suitability of project scope, cost and scheduling requirements and coordinates development of all data in support of negotiations in line with Worley guidelines. Review Control budgets prepared for the projects and monitor deviation of the project cost with respect to the budgets prepared. Additional Responsibilities Interface with Project Management and Finance and Governance to prepare monthly internal reports, project control statements and MPRD reports. Partner with Workforce Planning to forecast personnel needs for projects. Liaise with other departments at meetings relative to project operations, to ensure that information affecting the project plan is continually updated. Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and client’s requirements. Keep up to date with developments and innovations in the function. About You To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes: 15+ years of technical, practical and leadership experience in Project Controls in the same or similar industry, managing and leading large multi-disciplinary projects and teams including 10+ years of experience as project controls engineer / project planning engineer in engineering delivery organisation.
