 Position Role Type: Onsite

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance: Secret

Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1 Are you ready to explore the world of aerospace and defense? Do you want to learn from and collaborate with some of the greatest minds in the industry? At RTX, our internships, co-ops and full-time careers provide an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance your skills and create a safer, more connected world. Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. We are the electronics design section for Raytheon Vision Systems , and part of a Department of Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers for the RTX Goleta site that develops airborne and space products for Imaging Systems and Electronic Warfare . We perform design, development, and verification of high-speed digital hardware solutions, notably Circuit Card Assemblies, for products and test for Raytheon Vision Systems imaging products.
What You Will Do
The candidate will design and develop high speed digital hardware for Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) aerospace and aeronautical imaging products and supporting test equipment for those products. They will use standard design and layout tools to develop schematics, perform circuit card layout, and perform circuit analysis of hardware that is developed for those projects. They will work in a cross-function team of mechanical engineers, test engineers, firmware engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing engineering to develop challenging electronics design hardware solutions for RVS imaging products.
What You Will Learn
Become proficient with knowledge and standards for the design and development of high-speed digital hardware for Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) imaging products. This job will utilize the candidates background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to develop complex schematics, perform circuit analysis, and perform design verification in a laboratory setting. The candidate will develop proficiency in Electronic Circuit Aided Design (ECAD) layouts and develop proficiency in performing signal integrity analysis for high speed circuits. Candidate will develop proficiency in support of the manufacturing and assembly of complex circuit cards to be compliant with IPC standards. The candidate will have opportunities to work in and learn associated disciplines for test engineering, firmware development, and high-speed circuit design of Read Only Integrated Circuits (ROICs).
Qualifications
You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date. Digital Design and Electronics coursework and/or laboratory experience in signals evaluation and theory, solid state electronics, basic signal processing, filter design, and power electronics. Analog & RF coursework and/or laboratory experience in RF circuit design and analysis. Demonstrated circuit layout and schematic capture. Experience may be obtained through on ‑ the ‑ job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications
We Prefer: Course and laboratory work using digital and power measurement instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators, and Power Supplies. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with electronics design, circuit analysis, circuit simulation tools, such as Spice and Matlab for both circuit analysis and simulation, and with at least one circuit layout tools (ECAD tools such as
