Project Description This internship supports engineering teams across Micron Singapore in improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, yield, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency. Successful candidates may be assigned to projects within Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering functions. Where applicable, interns may utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation technologies, advanced analytics, or digital manufacturing tools to improve engineering efficiency and decision-making. Objective of the Project Improve manufacturing processes and operational performance. Support equipment optimisation and reliability initiatives. Analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities. Develop engineering solutions to improve yield, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Support continuous improvement and operational excellence activities. Job/Project Scope Interns will analyze engineering and manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process, quality, yield, or equipment performance improvements. Interns will support engineering investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives. Interns will develop data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and manufacturing performance. Interns will work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement engineering solutions. Interns may leverage AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, or advanced analytics to improve engineering workflows. Impact of the Project Intern contributions will support improvements in manufacturing efficiency, equipment performance, product quality, operational reliability, and business outcomes across Micron's manufacturing operations. Skillsets Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is advantageous. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, automation tools, or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous. Demonstrated interest in engineering, manufacturing, technology, and the semiconductor industry. Course of Interest Ideal candidates should be pursuing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
