A Day in the Life A Day in the Life The Portfolio Strategy Product Consultant – Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies will lead strategic assessment and portfolio evaluation efforts for one of the most important growth areas within the Structural Heart business. This role will be responsible for building deep disease, therapy, and market expertise to identify unmet needs, evaluate strategic opportunities, and inform portfolio investment decisions across the mitral and tricuspid spaces. This individual contributor role reports into the Structural Heart Strategy, Upstream Marketing, and Business Development team and will work cross-functionally across strategy, business development, marketing, finance, clinical, medical affairs, and other key functions. A critical component of the role is leading inorganic opportunity assessment in the space, including market landscaping, opportunity evaluation, and support for diligence activities. The role will also translate market insights into actionable strategic recommendations, develop robust market and financial models, support executive-level materials that inform portfolio priorities and investment decisions, and travel up to 30%, including domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Lead portfolio strategy efforts for the mitral and tricuspid therapy spaces, identifying growth opportunities, market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic gaps. Develop deep expertise in mitral and tricuspid disease states, treatment pathways, patient populations, care settings, and therapy landscapes. Drive upstream strategic assessment activities including market assessment, voice-of-customer insights, and unmet clinical need identification. Evaluate market needs, customer pain points, adoption barriers, and competitive gaps to help define areas of strategic focus and opportunity. Lead landscaping and assessment of inorganic opportunities, including partnerships, licensing, acquisitions, and other strategic options relevant to the therapy area. Develop opportunity assessments and strategic recommendations to support portfolio investment decisions, with inorganic assessment serving as a key element of the role. Build robust market models, business cases, and financial analyses to quantify opportunity size, adoption potential, strategic fit, and value creation. Partner cross-functionally with business development, finance, marketing, clinical, medical affairs, and other stakeholders to refine assumptions and strengthen strategic recommendations. Support inorganic diligence activities through commercial assessment, market analysis, strategic fit evaluation, and synthesis of findings for leadership. Develop high-quality executive presentations and supporting materials to communicate strategic recommendations, investment cases, and portfolio implications to senior leadership. Monitor emerging technologies, competitive moves, and external market developments to inform ongoing portfolio strategy and business planning. Influence decision-making across a highly matrixed organization through strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and clear executive communication.   Must Have:
