What you will be doing

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of In-Service Repair Stress Engineer I and can expect to be involved in the following:   Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures from the Maintenance Repair Organization and verify repair solutions with support. Document analyses in support of trade studies and/or certification projects. Typical tools used are: Hypermesh, MS Excel, Google Suite and an Airbus proprietary analysis tool. In the first few months you will learn Airbus methods of sizing structure and certification documentation requirements You will learn the concepts of structural analysis and how to apply the concepts to structural sizing.  Overseas placements are determined on either project need basis or employee development need.  US based rotational placements will center on Airbus Americas Engineering locations. ​ Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. At the end of the two year development programme, you will have developed into the position of Stress Engineer I!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have: A degree level or equivalent within Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials is required. A Master's
