Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced   Senior Java Developer   to join our enterprise engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and resilient software applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, system architects, and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, champion software engineering best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development lifecycle and architecture.

1. Architecture & Design System Design:   Lead the architectural design of scalable, secure, and highly available microservices and distributed systems. API Development:   Design and implement robust RESTful and gRPC APIs, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems. Database Modeling:   Design efficient relational and non-relational database schemas, optimizing queries for performance and scalability. 2. Software Development & Delivery Clean Code:   Write clean, well-structured, maintainable, and production-ready Java code adhering to SOLID principles and design patterns. Modern Stack:   Leverage the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data) to build enterprise-grade applications. Asynchronous Processing:   Implement event-driven architectures using message brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS. 3. DevOps & Cloud Integration CI/CD Pipelines:   Build, configure, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Containerization:   Package applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms. Cloud Infrastructure:   Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 4. Quality Assurance & Testing Automated Testing:   Write comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers. Code Quality:   Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce static analysis standards (e.g., SonarQube), and maintain high test coverage. Performance Tuning:   Identify bottlenecks, optimize memory usage, and conduct JVM profiling and garbage collection tuning. 5. Leadership & Collaboration Mentorship:   Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Agile Practices:   Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Technical Documentation:   Create and maintain clear system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and runbooks. Qualifications & Experience Education:   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Minimum of 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on enterprise Java applications. Proven track record of designing and deploying microservices architectures in a production environment. Strong experience with relational databases and SQL optimization. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Solid understanding of security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS).
