More than just a job, we offer rewarding careers  Job Description Reporting to the Legal Office Supervisor/Senior Manager of Legal Support, this role assists the Lawyers in handling P & C Insurance Legal Matters, representing TD Insurance or its policy holders in civil litigation and no fault/accident benefits matters involving claims for monetary damages or compensation for personal injury or property damage. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reviews and analyzes new file assignments, organizes file contents, and prepares summary memoranda of medical, investigation and all documentary productions received.  Updates/posts in electronic systems all relevant work completed on a file. Prepares affidavit of documents for review by Lawyer and arranges and manages undertakings chart. Organizes and prepares files for discovery/questioning. Follows up on undertakings and production requests. Prepares document briefs for expert reviews and drafts motions. Other duties as instructed by the Lawyers, which may vary by jurisdiction. Remains current with developments in the law;  understands medical, scientific, construction, product liability, engineering issues and defenses involved with such cases. Job Requirements Education                Paralegal/Law Clerk diploma/certificate from a recognized educational institution or equivalent work experience at a reputable law firm or legal department.

1-5 years paralegal/law clerk experience or equivalent. Background in insurance defense litigation, including personal injury and accident benefit claims (preferred), and/or general litigation experience.
