Role
Summary Northern Trust Asset Management is looking for a highly organised and client-focused Investment Associate to support our client coverage and sales activities to join our office in Hong Kong. This is an opportunity to be part of a successful team which works with a growing number of major asset owners, pension funds, and other institutional investors in Hong Kong and other markets in Asia Pacific . This role combines account management, client servicing, reporting coordination and sales support . It is well suited to a proactive professional, with a strong focus on leveraging technology (AI) in building efficient solutions, who is comfortable managing multiple deadlines, maintaining accurate client and sales data, producing high-quality written materials, and contributing thoughtfully to client and prospect engagement in an asset-management environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers, Sales Professionals, Investment Teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver a high-quality client experience across the full relationship lifecycle. What You Will Do
Client Reporting & Deliverables Coordinate periodic and ad hoc bespoke reporting requests with Portfolio Management, Operations and other relevant teams, with careful attention to accuracy and version control. Maintain client reporting calendars, delivery schedules and distribution lists, ensuring deadlines and service commitments are met. Client Servicing, Account Administration & Onboarding Act as a contact of coordination for routine client queries, follow-ups and service requests, escalating matters appropriately and ensuring timely resolution. Review and coordinate quarterly client invoice processes in partnership with Finance and internal account teams. Support client onboarding, account opening and ongoing account maintenance with Operations and relevant control functions. Assist with KYC refreshes, periodic reviews, collection and maintaining of required client documentation. Coordinate audit requests, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), RFPs/RFIs and other client information requests, tracking inputs and responses through to completion. Client & Sales Data Management Maintain accurate, current client contact, relationship, cashflow and opportunity data in Salesforce or other CRM systems. Support internal management reporting, including AUM, revenue, pipeline and client activity reporting. Identify process improvements and opportunities to use automation, AI-enabled tools and streamlined workflows to improve quality, scalability and turnaround time. Sales Support & Business Development Work with Relationship Managers and Sales professionals in preparing for client meetings, reviews and strategic discussions, including agenda development, meeting materials preparation, and action tracking. Conduct sales research on prospective clients, existing client organisations, market developments and investment themes; synthesise findings into concise, actionable briefs for the client coverage team.
