Job Description

Within the European Distribution Hubs (Beerse, La Louviere), the Engineering, Systems & Consumables team plays a key role in continuously improving warehouse operations through innovative engineering solutions and strong collaboration with operations, quality and IT/OT stakeholders. To strengthen this team, we are looking for a Staff Engineer Warehouse Operations & Management Systems, with a strong focus on project execution and continuous improvement within highly automated distribution environments. Key Responsibilities · Contribute to and lead engineering and system-related projects within warehouse operations, with a focus on automation, material handling, order fulfillment equipment and warehouse management/execution systems. · Drive the design and implementation of process and system improvements to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency and user-friendliness of warehouse processes. · Act as change owner for system enhancements, ensuring proper change management, implementation and minimal impact on daily operations. · Support compliance with GxP, GDP, FDA and ISO requirements, maintaining systems and equipment in a qualified and validated state. · Interface closely with Operations, IT, Quality, E&PS, EHS, Planning and external suppliers to ensure end-to-end alignment on engineering and system initiatives. · Lead or contribute to CAPEX and OPEX-related projects, ensuring flawless execution from concept to handover. · Apply Lean and process excellence principles to identify bottlenecks and drive sustainable improvements.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent experience. Experience and Skills Required: · Relevant experience in warehouse operations, supply chain or industrial environments, preferably with automated warehouses. · Strong affinity with IT/OT systems and warehouse management/execution systems. · Experience in engineering projects related to automation, logistics processes and system implementations. · Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred: · Experience with SAP eWM and/or other warehouse execution or control systems. · Knowledge of qualification and validation activities in a GxP-regulated environment. · Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or structured project management methodologies. Other: We expect you to have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
