About this role

Naval Program and Trial Specialist The Opportunity: As a Naval Program and Trial Specialist, you understand the complexities of supporting acquisition, acceptance trials, and deployment activities from concept to completion. That’s why we need you, a skilled program and trial specialist who can ensure mission success through careful analysis, hands-on trial support, and effective communication. On our team, you will support critical Navy acquisition and test activities for Unmanned Surface Vessels. You will support and coordinate trial events that require frequent travel to shipyards within the continental United States. This role directly supports sea trials, including testing underway at sea and land-based support facilities for periods of up to ten days away from home station. Underway periods require personal protective equipment (PPE) to include hard hat, reflective vest, and steel toe boots. You’ll leverage resources like MS Office, program management systems such as MS Project and Excel based tools, assess and document test results, and deliver senior-level briefs to government leadership. In this role, you will collaborate regularly with PAPMs, APMs, subject matter experts, INSURV, shipbuilders, trial teams, and acquisition stakeholders. You Have:  5+ years of experience coordinating or participating in Navy shipboard testing, acceptance trials, inspections, or readiness events 3+ years of experience working in program or project management 3+ years of experience providing direct support to U.S. government Programs Management Offices, PAPMs, and APMs 3+ years of experience preparing and delivering senior-level briefing reports to government staff or corporate leadership 3+ years of experience working with unmanned vehicles such as Unmanned Surface Vessels Experience with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently with high attention to detail Ability to travel to shipyards and embark onboard Navy ships for sea trial events lasting up to ten consecutive days, operating up to 12hours-on and 12hours-off rotations Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience working shipboard or 5+ years of experience working shipboard Nice If You Have:  Experience with Unmanned Surface Vessel autonomy and operations Experience with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards and classification Knowledge of COLREGS and ship operations Ability to independently lead teams responsible for client delivery Master’s degree in engineering Project or Program Management Certification such as DAWIA or PMP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
