Eaton’s Commercial Products and Assemblies Division is currently seeking a Data Center Segment Manager to join its team. This hybrid role is located in Greenwood, SC. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who reside more than 50 miles from this location. This exciting opportunity provides ownership of the PowerWave 2 Busway product line within the rapidly expanding data center market. The role combines technical expertise with commercial strategy and offers direct customer engagement, product leadership responsibilities, and significant influence over sales growth, pricing, market share, and customer satisfaction. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do: The primary function of the Data Center Segment Manager is to manage incoming PowerWave 2 Busway order volume and mix vis a vis data center customer(s) to ensure the product line meets or exceeds top line sales, price, and market share targets for the general sales markets. This includes order negotiation, quotation activities, providing daily commercial guidance and technical support as well as other functions required to support profitable growth. In addition, the incumbent will need to identify changing market conditions, including competitive activities that affect the product line and implement actions that will correct and/or take advantage of these market conditions or competitor actions. Job Responsibilities • Maintain current knowledge of product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities, market conditions, and sales channels. • Develop accurate product quotations with detailed technical and commercial clarifications using sound tactical pricing. • Provide advanced engineering support for product marketing, manufacturing, and sales aligned with product line and company objectives. • Support field sales through development of technical documentation, application guidance, and competitive analysis to enhance sales performance. • Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers regarding product application, performance, compliance, and issue resolution. • Provide technical training to customers and field sales personnel on product features, applications, and engineering methods. • Lead and support complex technical and commercial negotiations, including product application and recommendation strategies. • Manage assigned territory to achieve objectives related to volume, pricing, product mix, delivery performance, warranties, and customer satisfaction. • Review and analyze product configurations, design circuits, perform engineering calculations, and collaborate with drafting, purchasing, and manufacturing teams. • Support company initiatives related to product design, market communications, competitive analysis, customer relations, and improvements in productivity, cost, quality, and safety. • Coordinate and lead customer project review meetings, including drawing approvals and technical discussions. • Participate in and lead customer inspections, witness tests, and compliance validations as required. • Provide project management support to ensure on time performance (OTP), reduced cycle times, order changes, and warranty resolution. • Mentor and provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers and technicians; perform special projects and travel as needed to support customers and company initiatives.
