As a Chemical/Field Technician (Downstream Chemicals) - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for: Performing laboratory testing and analysis to support chemical treatment programs, evaluate system performance, and provide accurate reporting of results. Working extensively in field environments to support customer operations, conduct inspections, perform testing activities, and ensure effective service delivery. Safely transferring chemical products and fluids from tanker trucks to bulk storage tanks in accordance with operational and safety procedures. Operating company vehicles to travel between customer sites, maintaining a valid driver's license and a safe driving record while supporting field service activities. Monitoring application operating parameters and supporting customer operations through routine service activities. Conducting field and product testing activities while accurately recording and communicating results to appropriate stakeholders. Performing equipment maintenance activities as directed to support operational reliability and performance. Managing product inventory activities, including inventory reporting, ordering, and delivery coordination. Building knowledge of industrial processes, business operations, and downstream chemical treatment applications. Successfully completing required training and development activities through field-based learning programs and technical training initiatives. Supporting activities focused on health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. Collaborating with customers and internal teams to support service delivery and achieve business objectives. Applying technical knowledge to support customer requirements and improve operational performance. Conducting all business activities in accordance with company health, safety, environmental, quality, legal compliance, and ethical standards. To be successful in this role, you will: Have a Technical College Degree or equivalent education preferred. Have knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering concepts preferred. Have a general understanding of industrial processes and business principles. Have the ability to think critically and apply sound judgment to solve problems. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others. Have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives. Have the ability to work in an industrial environment that may include varying weather conditions, elevated work locations, and the use of personal protective equipment.
