Key duties include inspecting facilities, investigating incidents, managing EHS-related documentation, coordinating emergency response plans, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Compliance and policy: Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.   Risk management: Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures and equipment are compliant.   Training and awareness: Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors to raise awareness of safety practices and emergency procedures.   Incident investigation: Lead and coordinate the investigation of all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.   Environmental management: Manage environmental aspects such as waste, emissions, and resource conservation, and promote sustainability initiatives.   Documentation and reporting: Maintain EHS records, prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies, and manage EHS-related documentation for certifications like ISO.   Audits: Coordinate and participate in internal and external EHS audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Education: A bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field like Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering is often required. Minimum 3 years working experience. Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly valuable.

Practical experience in implementing and managing safety programs is essential. Experience with specific certifications like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is also beneficial.
