In order to support our engineering activities, Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer VTP (d/f/m) You will be part of a young team of development engineers taking care of the technical steering of projects in the Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) primary and secondary structure perimeter, for the new and incremental development of the complete Single Aisle, WideBody Family and A400M. Working on feasibility studies, supporting the detailed design and in the certification phase, managing structure-driven projects will be part of your job. Your Location You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your Tasks and Responsibilities Rely on your experience in the domain Fatigue and Damage Tolerance and/or Structure Analysis in order to take over the technical management of related projects Analyze and validate composite & hybrid structures for static & fatigue strength according to validated methods and perform related feasibility studies Prepare, Check and Approve stress deliverables in line with Airbus’s processes, methods and policies Check adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines Compile all required documents related to support A/C and MODs certification Act as interface for the relevant stakeholders Ensure that relevant inputs are provided and fulfill to airworthiness regulations, the Design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and provide support to other functions (i.e. R&T, customer support) as needed Perform monitoring and support of Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work Work on Digitalization, automate and simplify, redesign processes and procedures Desired Skills and Qualifications You have a Master Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Aerospace, Civil Engineering or comparable You have experience in (preferred) Fatigue and Damage Tolerance and/or Structural Analysis methods. This includes experience in finite element method You are experienced in tools like ISAMI, FEM e.g. Altair Hyperworks, Nastran, PASS SSCI and TREND You hold a technical approval delegation according to Airbus M1020 (for static and/or fatigue) or sufficient experience to obtain this delegation quickly You are interested or have an affinity to Data analytics You have an open and curious mindset for new ways of working as well as a practical, agile and independent approach Your are team-oriented and eager to join a young team in a young organization and shape ways of working You are fluent in English and German Not a 100% match?
