This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to help create something special from the very beginning About the role We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Accountant to join the pre-opening team at AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast . This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values integrity and accuracy, and enjoys partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance. Reporting to the Multi-Property Director of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel through accurate reporting, robust controls, and sound financial analysis. Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity. Support month-end and year-end reporting processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries. Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner. Assist with accounts receivable activities, credit management, and revenue reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Support financial audits and internal control processes. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to assist operational decision-making. Partner with department leaders to help manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance. Maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting. Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
