The Security Supervisor provides on-shift leadership for all security and safety operations at the PPG Paints Arena. This position is responsible for scheduling and supervising security staff, overseeing all shipping and receiving activity within the facility, and ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff, vendors, and clients. The Security Supervisor maintains and enforces security policies and procedures, coordinates the flow of information between the Security Manager, Event Managers, and the Operations Manager, and serves as the primary on-site contact for security matters during the overnight shift. This role requires strong situational awareness, leadership ability, and the capability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced public environment. Candidates must also demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively schedule and manage staff across a variety of events. This role pays an hourly rate of $23.00 - $24.00. As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania and home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Supervise and coordinate security staff during assigned shifts and events; serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all security matters. Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign posts, and communicate event details and expectations to security personnel. Assist in coordinating the flow of information from the Security Manager to security staff. Maintain files of sign-in sheets for events and ensure all security logs are completed, including time, radio, and key logs and access records. Assist with training new security staff on venue policies, procedures, and proper guest interaction. Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to maintain professional and service standards. Supervise all shipping and receiving items moving throughout the facility; log all items entering and leaving the building. Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper load-in and load-out procedures are followed. Support operations staff during event move-in, event operations, and load-out activities. Monitor event activity areas as well as all entrances and exits. Perform routine patrols of the facility; lock and unlock doors and access points as required.
