Overview
The Receiving Quality Supervisor /Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all incoming buy parts , components, bought-out parts, and sub-assemblies conform to specified quality standards before they are released for production or further processing. Job Role & Responsibility : The role combines incoming inspection, inspection team supervision, documentation, non-conformance management, Develop QIP , and continuous quality improvement. Audit & Compliance Support - Support internal quality audits and preparations for external audits (e.g., NADCAP, AS9100). System & Documentation: Knowledge on First Article Inspection as per AS9102 requirements and Good MS Excel and quality-reporting skills. Assisting in tracking quality KPIs and supporting improvement actions as directed Familiarity with statistical quality tools like control charts, FMEA, or capability analysis is a plus Familiarity with Problem solving tools and root-cause analysis. Initiate NCRs/Quality Notification for non-conforming materials. Stop or escalate the release of materials where quality requirements are not met Recommend improvements to incoming inspection methods and quality controls Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, design, supply chain) to ensure quality objectives are met Qualifications : Approximately 3–7 years of relevant experience in incoming quality, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or inspection. Experience in supervising quality inspectors is preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of supplier quality and incoming inspection processes. Knowledge of SAP / ERP/QMS systems is an advantage. Good understanding of engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments. Knowledge of basic Measuring & Monitoring Device (MMD) - such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, gauges, and other inspection equipment. Understanding of GD&T and tolerance requirements. Knowledge of AS9001 and quality management systems.
