About the Role
The Federal Program Associate provides coordination, tracking, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional operational support for active federal programs. Work is assigned based on temporary program priorities and business needs within a compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support program coordination, tracking, and documentation activities for assigned federal projects. Track milestones, deliverables, risks, actions, and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready program records. Coordinate across programs, compliance, finance, engineering, information systems, and contracts stakeholders. Support reporting, compliance checks, evidence collection, and process-discipline activities. Execute defined assignment deliverables within established scope, schedule, and documentation requirements. Adhere to applicable U.S. Government security, confidentiality, and information-handling requirements. Cross-Functional Assignments Assignments will be based on documented temporary business needs and may include: Compliance: Documentation support, evidence tracking, internal controls, and audit-readiness activities. Contracts: Contract documentation, deliverable tracking, file maintenance, and administrative support. Engineering: Program coordination, milestone and deliverable tracking, and documentation support for assigned engineering work. Finance: Financial tracking, reporting inputs, cost awareness, and assigned program administration. Information Systems: Process documentation, access or evidence coordination, reporting support, and tracking of assigned information-system activities. Program Execution: Status tracking, reporting support, and assigned program coordination activities. Core Competencies Ability to manage assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across changing business priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams. Proven ability to communicate technical data and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to learn new business processes and contribute effectively during defined, time-bound assignments. Experience with maintaining accurate records, attention to detail, and organization.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications listed below are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Please Note: This is a 2-year contract - with potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
US Citizenship required. Currently enrolled in a 4-year university towards a bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, information systems, contracts, or a related field. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Ability to work 20 hours per week for the defined 24-month assignment period. 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or project experience in program coordination, compliance, finance, engineering, information systems, contracts, public administration, or government affairs. Experience organizing documentation, tracking actions or milestones, and
