About this role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team to support EMEA Operations and Corporate Services divisions, reporting into the lead HRBP for Operations and Corporate Services. The role partners closely with senior stakeholders across London and EMEA, supporting approximately 1,200 employees and helping to deliver the people agenda across complex, matrixed business areas. The role spans the full HR lifecycle, including employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, reward, performance, talent management, organisational effectiveness and diversity and inclusion. It offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the business unit and the broader HR team on a variety of projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will need to operate independently and proactively across the full range of HR disciplines, partnering with managers and senior leaders across Operations and Corporate Services. What you'll do in the role: Relationship Management Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple client groups, adapting style and approach to provide credible, practical HR partnership. Partner with Operations and Corporate Services MDs and EDs to shape and deliver talent priorities aligned to business objectives Collaborate with HR product teams and regional HR colleagues to deliver joined-up advice, solutions and support to the business Lead the effective delivery of global HR processes across the region, ensuring local business needs are understood and reflected Develop insight into the Firm, business strategy and external market context to provide people advice that supports business unit and Firmwide goals Employee Relations Provide practical, risk-aware advice to managers on the interpretation and application of Morgan Stanley policies, procedures and employment practices. Advise on redundancy and organisational change processes, partnering with managers and legal counsel to ensure matters are handled fairly, consistently and with appropriate risk awareness Advise and coach managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, absence, disability, redundancy and compliance-related issues, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently and with sound judgement Influence managers to address performance, conduct and compliance matters effectively, ensuring issues are managed consistently and escalated where required Support managers in the management of short- and long-term absence and disability cases, working closely with Occupational Health, Benefits and other internal partners as appropriate Resourcing Partner with Recruitment, business COOs and senior stakeholders on workforce planning, hiring strategy and role-level decisions, ensuring recruitment activity supports both business needs and broader talent priorities Guide hiring-related decisions at all levels, including compensation proposals, role levelling and background screening considerations Talent Management Coach managers to deliver effective performance feedback and support the consistent execution of the performance evaluation process. Partner with business leaders and global HR counterparts to deliver cyclical people processes in a way that supports talent outcomes and business priorities. Support leadership development, succession and career development initiatives, including selection for leadership programmes and actions to attract, develop and retain early-career and diverse talent across the client group.
