Job Description

The Senior Consultant II is responsible for granting settlement authority on highly complex claims valued in excess of Market Claim Office (MCO) and Regional Claim Office (RCO) limits, providing recommendations on requests to go to trial on cases where the gross exposure is in excess of MCO authority, and general oversight of all large losses for a specific CSA or CSAs. The individual may also provide discretionary referrals on coverage issues, opinions and research. In addition, the Sr Cons II may provide approval on Closed Without Payment (CWP) requests where liability is disputed, and the value is in excess of Field authority. We are looking for a Large Loss Bodily Injury Adjuster to join our growing team! This team handles some of the most complex and high-exposure bodily injury claims in the organization, including catastrophic injury cases involving coma, paralysis, rejected tenders, and other severe loss exposures. The adjuster will manage large loss claims nationwide with policy limits up to 100/300, while also handling challenging low-limit policies, primarily 25/50 limits, where significant exposure exists. While claims may arise nationwide, the position will primarily support exposures within East Coast jurisdictions. We are open to candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zone states. Key Responsibilities • Performs file reviews for various complex projects or for cases in litigation, analyzes data, and reports findings • May review cases to determine if CWP is appropriate given gross tort value exposure • Supports the Field with discretionary referrals on complex coverage issues and engages Home Office Claim litigation for involvement and direction as needed • Reviews coverage, liability, and/or damages on highly complex cases referred for authorization and collaborates with Field leadership on addition steps to be taken and other feedback and direction • Collaborates with Frontline Performance Experts (FPEs), Frontline Performance Leaders (FPLS), and Claim Process Specialists (CPSs) to share experience and trends identified in referred cases • Works with Product, Protection, Law, and Claims on new products introduced to the Field and the sales force, and develops Claim Bulletins to provide new forms and/or endorsements that impact claim handling practices Supervisory Responsibilities • This job does not have supervisory duties. #LI-KR1   Skills Analytical Thinking, Bodily Injury Claims, Client Counseling, Collaboration, Complex Claims, Conflict Management, Industry Trend Analysis, Large Loss Claims, Litigation, Negotiation, Personal Injury Claims, Prioritization, Risk Mitigation, Tender Responses, Time Management, Torts   Compensation Compensation offered for this role is 85,000.00 - 145,075.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.     Joining our team isn’t just a job — it’s an opportunity.
