Our Air/Ground International Voice Service is the aeronautical industry's air/ground voice communications link for FAA control and communications for aircraft in the oceanic airspace. The service is backed by over 75 years of Collins Aerospace experience of providing communications solutions to the aviation market. Collins Aerospace is looking for you to join our team in Livermore, CA as a Radio Field Service Technician to support our Commercial Aviation and Network Services Division. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in an environment where customer service is held in the highest regard.
What You Will Do
Install, maintain, test, adjust, and repair communication equipment such as radio and antenna systems. Utilize test equipment as required to perform proper installation or repair. Interact with customers, vendors, and contractors independently and professionally in support of maintenance and installation activities. Provide on-the-job training. You will be required to provide 24/7 support, so you will be on-call after hours, on weekends and holidays. Travel will be required up to 50%. Obtain an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's License (GROL) within 6 months of being hired. Obtain and maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) badging for access to certain Federal regulated areas of the airport; this includes Security Threat Assessment (STA) and a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and SIDA training. Lift and carry fifty (50) pounds and climb towers and stepped poles up to fifty (50) feet in height. Assist in Facilities and EH&S tasks.

Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline. Must have completed a course in Practical Electronics at a technical school, junior college, or equivalent, or
