Provide accounting and analytical support to the Accounting/Finance department. Prepare monthly general journal entries, schedules and provided analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly general journal entries and provide accounting and analytical support to Management during the month end close process. Prepare intercompany, consolidating and elimination entries. Prepare schedules and analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits. Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information for preparation of financial reports for month end. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Prepare bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, including prepaid and accruals, for general accounting. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close. Ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate recording of financial information. Support management with special projects such as the implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls. Perform other job related functions as assigned.. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field of study or any equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience EXPERIENCE:
2 years experience in accounting; combined experience in public accounting and the private sector a plus. Hospitality experience preferred.. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Must have strong analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook High level of proficiency in Excel - knowledge of complex formulas and PowerPivot will be a plus Experience with PeopleSoft software or large company ERP systems a plusorganizational skills are necessary due to the nature of compiling and retaining detailed information for audits Ability to multitask and to work with large volumes of data Multi-currency experience is a plus Ability to work extra hours during month end close and as needed ABOUT NCLH Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
