Summary The Senior Microsoft Purview Consultant will lead end‑to‑end Purview implementations , design enterprise compliance architectures, and act as a trusted advisor for data protection, insider risk, and regulatory compliance programs.
Responsibilities
Architect and lead Microsoft Purview deployments across: Information Protection & Auto ‑ Classification Enterprise & Endpoint DLP Insider Risk Management & Adaptive Protection eDiscovery (Standard & Premium) Audit (Standard & Premium) Records & Data Lifecycle Management Design label taxonomy, retention models, and policy hierarchies aligned to business risk and regulation Lead stakeholder workshops with Legal, Compliance, HR, InfoSec, and IT Own Insider Risk & eDiscovery operating models, workflows, and escalation paths Integrate Purview controls with Microsoft Defender, Intune, and identity signals Provide governance for Copilot and AI readiness using classification and DLP controls Mentor junior consultants and review technical designs Define KPIs, compliance maturity models, and value ‑ realization metrics Required Skills & Experience 5–6 years of experience in M365 Security & Compliance , with deep Purview leadership Hands ‑ on expertise in: Purview Information Protection & Auto ‑ labeling strategies Endpoint DLP, Adaptive Protection, Insider Risk eDiscovery Premium & legal hold strategy Compliance Manager & audit readiness Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements (GDPR, DPDPA, HIPAA, SOX, PCI ‑
