Our B+P Boston studio provides industry-leading design projects in aviation, transit, science, government and higher education markets. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline leaders. Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity. Analyzes issues and identifies solutions using existing techniques and proposes approaches for novel issues. Exercises independent judgement in determining how work is performed Ready to begin client-facing interactions including presentations, meetings, answering questions, and following up on issues Familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline Facile with the process of preparing designs, presentations and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures. Intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents Meets deadlines and works within budget constraints, with understanding of the range of materials and labor costs Understands the construction process – field review, change orders, RFIs, quality review, etc. Is
