As a Program Supplier Quality Engineer here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DOD Programs. This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ . Some travel can be expected as part of this role (Up to 25%). What You Will Do : Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works. Interpret various program requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements. Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies. Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews. Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews. What You Will Learn : Managing complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, Energetic, etc.) You will expand your APQP knowledge and experience Engagement with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.
Qualifications
You Must Have : Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline. Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, or AS9145. Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are
