Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Specialist at an entry level to support our ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and drive organizational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure alignment with Raytheon’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) and operational standards, including AS9100 requirements.
What You Will Do
Process Improvement Initiatives Assist in identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement opportunities across various departments, including Fabrication, Assembly, Inspection, and Test (FAIT). Support the development and execution of Qualification Plans for deliverable production hardware in compliance with AS9100 standards. Data Collection and Analysis Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Utilize metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Collaboration and Communication Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Quality, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders and leadership. Training and Documentation Assist in the development and delivery of training materials to support process improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and improvement activities. Compliance and Standards Ensure all process improvement activities comply with Raytheon’s internal policies, procedures, and external industry standards. Support adherence to global trade laws and other regulatory requirements as applicable. Other You may travel occasionally to support process improvement initiatives at other Raytheon facilities. This is a 9/80 schedule (9-hour shifts, off every other Friday) Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience is working in a manufacturing / production line environment or operations environment Continuous Improvement (CI) experience (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, etc.) Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
