Job Description
Summary Inspects, diagnoses, repairs and maintains Age equipment and Vehicle Fleet to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role combines strong technical knowledge with accurate documentation and responsible use of tools and diagnostic equipment. The successful candidate follows manufacturers’ specifications and workplace procedures, with a strong focus in Safety, Quality and Compliance. Handles complex work, oversees activities, and verifies compliance. Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of AGE equipment and Vehicle Fleet to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures assets and bench test equipment. Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Oversee validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs. Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an AGE and Vehicles. Provides training and mentors others. Works under general direction.
Position
Responsibilities: Inspects AGE equipment and Vehicles, perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating the ground support equipment used to support fighter aircraft. Maintaining, repairing, and operating ground support equipment such as tow tractors, power carts, air conditioning units, jacks, trailers, etc. Ensuring that ground support equipment is in good working order, properly maintained and stored. Using specialized tools and equipment, such as test stands and diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance and repairs. Collaborating with other maintenance disciplines to support aircraft and equipment readiness. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and troubleshooting theory, ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to support the repair of basic and complex failures on ground support equipment and vehicles. Ability to work on a wide range of vehicles including Vans, F-250’s, and specialized military vehicles. Able to assign and perform CUT (Cross Utilization Training) as required. Works under general supervision. This position requires the ability to obtain the US Security Clearance from the US Government. Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) or Vehicle Maintenance. Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts. Strong experience with Automotive Equipment and Vehicle Fleet maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of AGE equipment utilized on fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15) Military or vocational school related to discipline or equivalent.
