Standard Job Description 
 You will be the Senior Staff Electrical Engineer for one of the Grand Prairie, TX teams at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC).  You will  serve as the Electrical Engineering Lead on program and a senior technical authority within our Electrical Engineering organization. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is suited for an accomplished Electrical Engineering professional who can operate as a player/coach—personally driving the most challenging hardware architecture and root-cause work while leading IPT efforts, mentoring staff-level engineers, and ensuring mission-critical hardware meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.

What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Staff Electrical Engineer will serve as the principal electrical hardware technical lead across a portfolio of missile, launcher, and sensor programs. Responsibilities may include:   • Serving as the Electrical Engineering Lead or Chief Engineer for one or more major defense programs, owning technical execution across development, production, and sustainment phases • Directing system-level architecture and interface definition across multiple concurrent programs, ensuring configuration compatibility across missile, launcher, and sensor platforms • Leading complex root-cause investigations of hardware and software failures spanning multiple programs, and directing engineering changes through Configuration Control Boards • Owning technical oversight of subsystem suppliers across a program portfolio, ensuring prime contract requirements flow accurately and hardware meets specifications • Chairing or serving as senior technical voice on Failure Review Boards (FRB), Material Review Boards (MRB), Risk & Opportunity Boards, Configuration Control Boards (CCB), and Corrective Action Boards (CAB) • Partnering with Program Managers to balance cost, schedule, and performance across multiple concurrent task orders and programs • Leading or contributing to competitive captures and IRAD strategy, including technical volume authoring, basis-of-estimate development, and technology maturation roadmaps • Mentoring and developing mid-career and staff-level electrical engineers, fostering engineering excellence and a collaborative team culture • Representing electrical engineering in customer-facing engagements, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and program milestone reviews   Why Join Us Do you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality?
