Determines and implements solutions regarding distribution of business, negotiation or commodity strategy, supplier management, source of supply, etc. May perform research and analysis including reporting for the business, supplier, sub-commodity, etc. Manages sub-commodities, as assigned. Leads complex projects as well as initiatives to ensure cost and quality goals for material, supplies, equipment, and services are met. Begins to influence the integration of sourcing guidelines, relative to assigned commodity group, into the client’s business requirements. Manages external suppliers to deliver improved benefits to 3M in areas such as technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery, and cost (TQRDC). Performs complex contract negotiations, as assigned. Manages professional and support level employees within a specific discipline in Sourcing.
