A Day in the Life The Buyer/Planner is responsible for procurement and planning activities that support manufacturing operations at the Plymouth-Cheshire Lane site. The position serves as a key link between suppliers, manufacturing, operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to support uninterrupted product flow and timely delivery of finished goods. In addition to purchasing activities, the Buyer/Planner is responsible for managing MRP including purchase order management, coordinating sterile load planning and scheduling, managing supply risks, and driving execution against site service and inventory objectives. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.                      Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. May monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate on demand analysis planning. Experience utilizing SAP for material planning, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain execution activities Experience creating, managing, and expediting purchase orders (POs) to support manufacturing requirements and resolve supply constraints. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and data analysis. Ability to analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production requirements to identify potential material shortages and supply risks.
