These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. In tax accounting services at PwC, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Meaningful work you’ll be part of As a Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance Senior Associate, you’ll work in our Tax Line of service as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing a variety of projects, including compilations, review engagements, and tax compliance engagements Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness , personal strengths and address development areas Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct Collaborating with others independently or within a team environment Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 3 years of e xperience in a mid-size accounting firm or public accounting Bachelors in accounting or in a similar firm Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation is considered an asset and PwC will give the necessary support Hands-on experience in accounting and tax software such as Taxprep or iFirm Drafting financial statements including note disclosures Experienced in review and compilation engagements Understanding of ASPE accounting standards Understanding of Canadian tax and ability to prepare tax returns for corporations, trusts and partnerships Creativity in problem solving in today’s dynamic environment, bringing your perspectives to the stakeholders Excellent client relationship management skills This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member. The salary range for this position is $53,600 - $89,300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres . Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements .
