We are an established, growing and successful financial services company, with businesses organized around retail and commercial banking, asset management, and funds processing. Your role will focus on managing and verifying the integrity of data within your assigned portfolio(s) from the source underwriting and core application systems through the Basel II advanced system, to ensure that your assigned portfolio(s) receive the appropriate regulatory capital allocation. You will also be responsible for educating business leaders on portfolio drivers impacting regulatory capital and the strategic implications thereof. The successful completion of these activities is essential to the Retail Bank's integration and ongoing ownership of Basel II regulatory requirements, supporting executive management's certification of compliance to the Board of Directors, the OCC and other regulators. Key attributes and requirements for this role include a thorough understanding of the data, drivers, and the nuances of the assigned Retail asset sub-class, as well as the ability to solve data capture and transmission issues; establish data quality and integrity testing processes; and lead the construction of data benchmarking tools and models to ensure output from the Basel II advanced system is entirely accurate. The successful candidate will be a data subject matter expert within his or her assigned asset sub-class. As a Portfolio Data Quality Manager, you will be expected to... 1. Document and audit business rules applied to categorize and sub-categorize Retail assets; coordinate with business partners to validate asset categorization and resolve issues related to GL reconciliation; socialize implications of Retail categorization. 2. Document data lineage and identify high impact / high risk data elements; validate appropriate mapping to core systems; collect and certify meta-data and define key business terms. 3. Review data quality for each product within assigned portfolio(s) and identify any data outages; champion data quality issue resolution and default logic / remediation plans for missing data. 4. Develop and sign-off on business rules and requirements for ongoing data quality measurement; coordinate, design and certify user acceptance testing. 5. Develop benchmark models and tools to compare and affirm output from the Basel II Advanced System (i.e. the risk weighted asset calculation and assigned capital allocation) for assigned asset class. 6. Educate business leaders and integrate capital requirements into business strategy, pricing decisions, and internal risk measurement models. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of financial services experience, with expert understanding of business drivers and data elements within his or her assigned asset sub-class, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
