Financial Budget Analyst

FINANCIAL BUDGET ANALYST JOB SUMMARY: This position supports all aspects of the budget process, including, but not limited to, planning, development, analysis, and reporting of the Company’s financials to various stakeholders across the company.

INCLUDE: Development of the company’s annual budget Provide support and analysis to various stakeholders, including, but not limited to, business units, financial planning, accounting, regulatory, and other areas as needed Partner directly with business units to understand financial needs, provide budget guidance, and support sound business decision-making Help to identify financial issues and business risks Participate in company and system teams as needed to support initiatives and issues related to budget functions JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field Travel within the MPC service territory and as needed, within the Southern Company system In-person meetings with business unit customers DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Good judgment to make appropriate decisions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain flexible while managing multiple projects with changing priorities Manage time effectively and have strong project management skills Team player Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI Role model for safe and ethical behaviors Demonstrates and promotes PCL, Intentional Inclusion, and Our Values
