GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: We’re seeking a dynamic leader to head a team responsible for General Ledger activites, with a strong focus on Business Asset accounting. In this role, you’ll oversee high-level financial processes, drive month-end close activities, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance across multiple business lines. You’ll collaborate with offshore teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement through smart automation and innovative technologies. Responsibilities- · Lead a team managing General Ledger activities, with a core focus on Business Asset (BA) accounting, financial analysis, account reconciliations, and reporting; · Manage the month-end close checklist, ensuring all required entries are calculated, submitted, approved, and posted across countries; · Provide hands-on support during the month-end close period to ensure smooth execution; · Oversee Account Balance Sheet Reconciliation Process for assigned areas with main focus on BA; · Address complex accounting treatment inquiries across multiple business lines with clarity and accuracy; · Participate in annual SOX testing, and continuously improve SOX documentation and compliance workbooks; · Drive ongoing training and professional development initiatives for team members; · Identify and resolve recurring performance issues, and lead continuous improvement efforts; · Lead or actively participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on accounting, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and employee engagement; · Promote the adoption of innovative solutions, including smart automation and AI technologies, to enhance operational efficiency; · Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency. Requirements- · At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting; · University degree/professional qualification in Finance or Accounting; · Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS reporting standards; · Experience of working in international environment; · At least 2 years of experience in managing a team in a fast-changing environment will be an asset; · Transition experience is desirable; · Fluent English is a must; · Highly motivated and proactive, with good verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organization skills; · Ability to work independently and as part of a team; · Knowledge of Workday will be an asset;
