Director Java Card OS Verification

You will lead a multi-site team of software engineers driving Java Card OS development and verification while shaping talent, performance, and career growth. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Workforce strategy execution and contribution Multi-site team management - Conducting regular 1:1 with team members, Stakeholder connect and management Own the performance and career building aspects of team Motivate people by recognizing and acknowledging top performer periodically within the team and in organizational events Develop competency in team to cater present and future program requirements as aligned with business strategy Enable an environment to nurture healthy team camaraderie Pipeline balancing of team members as per the product roadmap Assignment of team members to the projects Drive innovation and continuous improvement activities Evaluation of suppliers, partners and their management Collect inputs from projects and preparing the list of Capex items Coordinate with internal teams for asset management Forecast and track travel costs Learning and Development plans in accordance with roadmap demand Closely work with Functional Manager, Program Managers & Project Managers Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders with focus on trust-based associations Imbibe and adopt Infineon Leadership Principles Strong leadership traits to handle conflict, negotiations and fair evaluations Compliance and Security mandate awareness for team, department and site Work with management on strategic objectives and drive key initiatives Escalate issues, with appropriate data, to management as required Demonstrate team leadership and motivate the team on innovation topics Strive for continuous improvement and delivery excellence Engaging with other line managers across the organization to share and learn Actively participate in site level and department level initiatives Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 15+ years of relevant experience in Java Card / Global Platform Product Development & Verification preferably smartcards domain with several years in a People/Engineering Management role B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Instrumentation Experience in managing team of size 20+ team members Experience in working with functions (Quality, HR, etc) across the organization Embedded system software development/validation in Java Card, preferably in product development Must have working knowledge of various development tools used in embedded SW development Should be able to coordinate among stakeholders across sites at various levels and communicate operational gaps and risks effectively Excellent communication skills.
