About this role
About the Team
The B2B Content team helps business audiences understand what AI makes possible and how to put it to work. We develop narrative, editorial, demo, and adoption programs that connect OpenAI’s products to concrete business value. We partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Education, Sales, and other teams to create content that is useful on its own and supports the broader customer journey. We value people who are eager to learn, have a bias for action, and look beyond the immediate deliverable. We build the tools, systems, and shared practices that help the whole team produce better work over time.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager, Demand Generation to turn foundational B2B messaging, flagship narratives, research, launches, events, and product workflows into the right content for different industries, lines of business, audiences, and stages of the customer journey. You’ll create content across webinars, guides, ebooks, blogs, customer proof, and decision-enablement materials. You’ll also build the modular frameworks that allow strong source material to be adapted and reused without recreating the work from scratch. You’ll work closely with Product Marketing, which owns product positioning and messaging, and Demand Generation, which owns audience and channel strategy. You’ll bring strong content judgment to that partnership: helping determine what should be created, how it should be structured, and how it can work across different contexts while preserving a coherent central narrative. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a hands-on marketer, writer, and editor. It does not include people management or ownership of the broader content portfolio. This is a hybrid role and will be based in San Francisco, Monday through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are work-from-home days, with occasional in-office attendance as needed for live webinars. In this role, you will Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, the Senior Narrative Writer, the Adoption Content Marketer, and Demo Studio to identify strong source material and define the content plan for priority programs. Create and adapt content across webinars, flagship guides and ebooks, thought-leadership blogs, solution and buyer guides, customer proof, and decision-enablement materials. Turn core assets into reusable modules for specific industries, lines of business, use cases, and executive, practitioner, and technical audiences. Develop awareness-, consideration-, and decision-stage versions of priority content while preserving the central narrative. Find the strongest narrative, proof point, or value proposition within complex source material and translate it into clear, useful content. Collaborate with Demand Generation and channel partners to ensure content is designed for real audience and distribution needs. Use audience and performance signals to improve how future content is structured, packaged, and reused. Establish repeatable frameworks, templates, and practices that increase the return on major content investments. Maintain strong editorial quality across a high volume of interconnected assets. You might thrive in this role if you Have 7+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, editorial, integrated campaigns, or a related discipline. Are an exceptional writer and editor with a portfolio showing how you adapted substantive source material for different B2B audiences and contexts. Can translate complex B2B product and business subject matter into content that is clear without becoming simplistic. Know how to identify the strongest B2B narrative, proof point, or value proposition within a larger body of material. Have experience creating B2B content across industries, business functions, buyer groups, or stages of the customer journey. Understand B2B audience and channel needs and can collaborate closely with Demand Generation without losing the integrity of the
