About this role
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accounting Apprentice supports the hotel’s Finance and Administration department in the day-to-day management of general and analytical accounting activities. The role contributes to the accuracy of financial records, budget monitoring, and the optimization of accounting processes, while ensuring compliance with hotel standards and legal requirements. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: General Accounting
Record accounting entries (purchases, sales, bank transactions, petty cash); Reconcile and monitor supplier and customer accounts; Follow up on invoicing and customer collections; Assist with bank reconciliations. Management Control and Budget Monitoring
Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports and dashboards; Monitor and analyze budget variances (actual vs. forecast); Support profitability analysis by department (Rooms, Food & Beverage, etc.). Closing Activities and Reporting
Assist with monthly and annual closing processes; Prepare supporting documentation for tax declarations (VAT, tourism tax, etc.); Archive accounting documents in accordance with current regulations and company standards. Cross-Department Collaboration & Systems
Work closely with operational departments to monitor financial transactions and flows (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping); Use and gain exposure to accounting systems and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS); Participate in the continuous improvement of internal financial and administrative procedures. Human Resources
Establish and maintain open, effective working relationships with all team members; Ensure completion of all mandatory internal training programs and Marriott International virtual training modules; Lead by example and promote the company’s vision and values by demonstrating and supporting:
