Job Summary
The Raytheon Financial Accounting organization has an opening for an Analyst, Accounting & Controllership. The position is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated financial analyst with strong analytical skills to gain valuable experience at the Business Unit Headquarters level. The selected team member will develop an understanding of Raytheon accounting structures and systems. The position will be responsible for general accounting support including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis. Other areas of exposure include flux analysis, audit deliverables, and other accounting and financial-related activities.
What You Will Do
Prepare schedules for Financial Reporting and Tax Ensuring compliance with key internal control procedure Reviewing, preparing and posting manual journal entries requests Assist with audit requests Perform monthly, quarterly and annual flux analysis and reports Analyzing Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliations Participate in special projects and analysis Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field Working experience with SAP and/or similar financial systems. Working experience with MS Office tools including Excel U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
