Weyerhaeuser is seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our Western Lumber HR Team. This role will support a non unionized manufacturing site in Grande Prairie, AB. In this role, the successful candidate will be required to build relationships with the site leaders with an ability to coach through HR related issues and understand the business operations from both the strategic and tactical perspective. The successful candidate will need to have a strong labour relations background, ability to diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement HR action plans in partnership with the site Manager and be willing to take on special projects as needed. This role will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Human Resources functions for the Grande Prairie mill and is a member of the site leadership team. This position will report to the Senior HR Business Manager with a dotted line responsibility to the Mill Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Role model Weyerhaeuser Key Values including Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, Sustainability, and Inclusion. - Strategic business partner to the Grande Prairie leadership team as well as the broader Region HR Team. - Provide top-quality coaching, consultations, and solutions in all areas of HR, including employee relations, talent management, and leadership training. - Support leadership team with people development by identifying skill gaps and developing solutions. Work with Unit Manager to support Individual Development Plans and Performance Management Plans for the team to ensure quality goals and targets. - Lead workplace investigations, work with legal department, and prepare comprehensive reports of findings. - Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. - Collaborate with the HR team and site leadership to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results. - Partner with leaders to develop and implement diversity and inclusion strategies. - Responsible for salaried and hourly staffing functions - Promote and encourage innovative thoughts and ideas. - Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions and programs. - Ensure site compliance with state and federal laws
