About this role

Amazon's Direct Tax Reporting team is seeking a Senior International Tax Analyst to work at the center of U.S. international tax compliance and provision, owning reporting across our multi-jurisdictional global structure. In this role, you'll own end-to-end preparation of high-impact international tax deliverables including calculation workbooks and forms across GILTI/951A, BEAT, Subpart F, foreign tax credits (“FTC”), and/or outside stock basis. You'll also support tax return preparation and workpaper development for Amazon's internal reorganizations and cross-border M&A transactions. If you're looking to build deep technical expertise across the full spectrum of U.S. outbound international tax, this role puts you in the middle of it. Key job responsibilities • Independently work across large, complex data sources, including trial balances, intercompany transaction data, and general ledger detail, to ensure completeness and accuracy in tax calculation workpapers, determine root causes of discrepancies, and execute or coordinate fixes. • Perform tax technical research to resolve reporting questions and support well-documented, defensible positions on 951A/GILTI, Subpart F, FTC, and BEAT compliance items. • Identify and deliver opportunities to automate, standardize, or simplify recurring tax form reporting and provision calculation processes. • Communicate clear, concise summaries of complex compliance issues to tax managers, cross-functional partners, and non-tax stakeholders. • Support junior team members; build and maintain team knowledge management tools and documentation. • Prepare international tax compliance deliverables (Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8833, 8594, 8883, and various disclosure statements) with a high degree of accuracy. A day in the life On any given day, you might be working through a large intercompany transaction dataset, researching a GILTI or Subpart F position, or finalizing a workpaper for a reporting cycle. You bring working knowledge across U.S. international tax law: GILTI/951A, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, BEAT, outside stock basis, and intercompany transaction reporting, and you know how to apply it to real data problems, not just theory. You don't work in isolation. You partner directly with Federal Tax Reporting, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing, Tax Planning, and external advisors, communicating clearly across all of them.

About the team

Amazon's Direct Tax Reporting team is where complex U.S. federal international tax compliance and provision gets done accurately, at scale, and in close partnership with the business. We work closely with Tax Planning, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing, Tax Controversy, and external advisors to translate technical tax positions into well-documented, audit-ready filings, and we invest heavily in process improvement and automation to scale with Amazon's growth. If you want to do technically complex work that matters for the business, for customers, and at global scale, this is where you build it.
