Our Purpose Within Manufacturing Engineering, this role supports and improves manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods for complex assemblies and capital equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer II partners with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and help ensure products are built efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Come for a job, stay for a career! A Day in The Life Of: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues involving equipment, tooling, fixtures, product assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems. Evaluate and improve machine, workstation, and production-flow arrangements to increase efficiency and productivity. Develop and refine sequences of operations and manufacturing procedures that support safe, repeatable, and high-quality production. Adapt product, tooling, or equipment designs to meet manufacturing and production requirements. Support the creation and improvement of inspection and test requirements within manufacturing plans. Investigate equipment, process, and product performance issues, and implement corrective actions addressing quality, reliability, and efficiency concerns. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support manufacturability and successful production execution. Ensure manufacturing processes, documentation, and practices comply with applicable quality-system and regulatory requirements. Support the qualification, validation, and transfer of new processes, tooling, or equipment into production, while driving assigned projects and improvements with ownership. Key Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience. Or Masters Degree with 0+ years of experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience supporting manufacturing equipment, tools, fixtures, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Ability to analyze process issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and manage multiple priorities with limited day-to-day oversight. Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process development, production support, engineering documentation, manufacturing instructions, and change-control processes. Experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments, preferably involving capital equipment. Familiarity with motors, sensors, mechanical-system integration, design transfer, or production implementation activities. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis, DMAIC, inspection methods, test processes, process validation, and regulated manufacturing practices is preferred.
