Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: This role will be responsible for supporting the lease accounting and reporting activities for the Company’s global lease portfolio. This includes the identification of new leases, the input and maintenance of the lease accounting tool (Co-Star) and the back-end SAP accounting processes for leases globally. This role includes direct management responsibility for a Senior Accountant, providing guidance, coaching, and support. In this role, you will: Lease Identification and Review: Complete lease identification and classification for real estate and GSS contracts with potential leases Cross-functional communication/coordination of lease requirements (i.e. ensuring CREWS, GSS, Country Controllers and plants follow the global process) Identify and evaluate lease modifications, lease impairments and other changes for leases Maintenance and Input of Leases in the Leasing Accounting Tool Review loading of new leases and all journal entries Review Balance Sheet analysis Oversee lease accounting tool system maintenance (discount rates, FX rates, access provisioning) Support lease accounting tool system upgrades and UAT testing SAP Accounting Processes Support Month/Quarter end close activities Ensure journal entries booked properly Prepare and review account reconciliations Lead resolution of balances in lease payment clearing account Review long-term roll-forward schedules Preparation of annual 10K footnote and disclosure Overall Lease Process and Governance Ownership Maintain documentation of accounting policies Maintaining process and I/C documentation #LI-Hybrid What we look for: Minimum 6+ years of relevant/ similar experience Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS and financial statements Strong verbal and written English skills (Must have) Strong leadership and project management skills Strong analytical skills, with ability to prioritize Superior attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross functional partners People management experience (preferred) Bachelor Degree and relevant Accounting Certification such as CPA or CA or equivalent working experience.
