Partner with the best As the Global Lifting Safety SME, you will provide expert leadership and assurance for lifting operations and lifting equipment across the Subsea & Surface Pressure Systems business. You will support operational teams in the safe planning, management, execution, and assurance of lifting activities while driving the development of global standards, procedures, governance frameworks, and competency programmes. You will serve as the recognised technical authority for lifting safety, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company expectations while fostering a culture of hazard identification, risk reduction, and operational excellence. As a Global Lifting Safety SME, you will also be responsible for: Serving as the global technical authority for lifting safety, lifting operations, lifting asset integrity, and lifting equipment governance across the business. Providing technical support for complex, critical, engineered, and non-routine lifting activities through specialist technical advice, lift reviews, risk assessments, and engineering assurance. Developing and maintaining global lifting standards, procedures, governance requirements, and engineering guidance to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practice, and company expectations. Leading global lifting assurance programmes through audits, assessments, and performance reviews to evaluate compliance, identify systemic risks, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Leading the review of lifting methodologies and operational practices to identify opportunities to eliminate hazards, reduce risk, improve efficiency, and adopt industry best practices and benchmarking. Driving the effective integration of lifting risk management requirements into permit-to-work, control-of-work, operational risk management, and assurance processes across the business. Establishing and improving requirements for the planning, authorisation, supervision, execution, verification, and post-job review of lifting activities to strengthen operational control and consistency. Establishing governance requirements for lifting equipment, cranes, hoists, rigging gear, and lifting accessories, including inspection, certification, traceability, maintenance, and lifecycle management. Applying Human and Organizational Performance principles to identify and address the human, organisational, and environmental factors that influence lifting performance and operational reliability. Defining lifting competency requirements and supporting the development of training, qualification, and capability programmes for personnel involved in the planning, supervision, execution, and assurance of lifting operations. Supporting investigations of lifting incidents and near misses, identifying systemic causes, and ensuring lessons learned are shared across the organization. Influencing operational, engineering, maintenance, and HSE leaders to promote a culture of lifting safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across global operations.
