ASIC Emulation Engineer – HW&SW , Amazon Leo

As an Emulation Engineer, you will be part of diverse team that is enabling platform level verification deploying Leo's newly developed cutting edge modems. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the emulation bring up environment for ASIC and system level emulation for the next generation of modems. You will participate in the design, verification and bring-up of IPs in Emulation by writing relevant scripts, developing bare metal code, debugging code, test benches, test harnesses, and otherwise interacting with the extended team in a highly visible role. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary groups such as architecture, systems, design, verification, post-si, board level teams and numerous platform teams that build various Leo products, consumer and enterprise. A successful candidate will show strong ownership, willingness to dive deep, innovate and simplify through technical roadblocks and drive towards achieving business group level goals. Key job responsibilities • Build and bring-up emulation models for complex SOC designs • Develop and maintain emulation environments and methodologies • Debug complex hardware issues using emulation platforms • Develop and maintain C++ based emulation testbench framework • Create and execute verification test plans • Interface with cross-functional teams including RTL, verification and silicon validation engineers to validate designs on emulation platforms • Enable and partner with software team on software bring-up and root-cause bugs • Optimize emulation performance and resource utilization • Document processes, methodologies, and technical specifications Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
