Job Summary
As a Spacecraft Structural Engineering Manager, you will lead the company’s Structural Analysis (StrAn) team as the point of contact for technical, budget and resource allocation issues to meet team members’ needs, customer requirements, and company goals. This position's internal job code is Mech & Structural Engr Manager. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K.
Position
Responsibilities: Management of a team of ~10 structural analysis engineers Facilitate STR Technical Lead Engineers (TLEs) and mentor program Coordinate program staffing assignments and review team task management Promote knowledge sharing by encouraging lunch and learns and ensure peer reviews happen regularly Coordinate hiring activities to meet current and planned program need Optimize analysis processes, evaluate employee work products, and review content for design reviews Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience): Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” 6 years of Aerospace or relevant Structural Analysis experience Experience with sine and random vibration analysis and testing Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, both in-person and via virtual presence Candidates have demonstrated self-driven execution of objectives Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field 8 years of Aerospace or relevant Structural Analysis experience Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field 1 year or management experience in a similar capacity Candidates should illustrate history of strong leadership, ensuring team members feel heard via active listening virtually Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process Drug Free Workplace: Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
