In this role you will perform routine analytical and physical tests to ensure resulting finished products and packaging meets PepsiCo standards. Additionally you will work closely with production and perform a wide variety of tasks such as product testing, raw material inspection, finished good inspection, sanitation inspection, and creating finished good or packaging holds.
Responsibilities
This role is a second shift position (2:30pm- 11:00pm) Monday – Friday. Rotating weekend coverage scheduled every 3rd weekend (12:00pm – 12:00am) Monitor the production lines for quality issues Complete analytical testing on finished products using various scientific methods Ensure compliance to food safety standards by performing audits and inspections Collect and plate routine micro samples from ingredients, water, and equipment surfaces Perform review of production paperwork for compliance Complete routine lab equipment calibration and maintenance Manage non-conforming finished products/ incoming materials Create and train frontline and salaried staff on new SOPs Conduct quality related trainings with front line associates Participate in Lean Six Sigma/TPM initiatives Provide support to new product innovation projects Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250. Location confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Qualifications
High School diploma required Bachelor's degree preferred 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment preferred. 1+ year of experience with documentation, written procedures/SOPs, and recordkeeping. 1+ year of experience performing calculations, measurements, and unit conversions. 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
