As a Logistics & Supportability Systems Engineer II, you’ll be a key member of the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) organization, working closely with engineering teams, program leadership, and customers to ensure logistics, sustainment, and supportability requirements are fully integrated into the total system solution across the product life cycle. In this role, you are responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Logistics Supportability Analyses, provisioning data for hardware components, and conducting spares analyses and spares availability modeling for products within a defined product line. You will operate with limited supervision, applying systems‑level thinking, engineering judgment, and advanced logistics principles to refine and improve sustainment products that support program objectives. Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. The organization is comprised of multiple disciplines that support engineering teams, program offices, and our customers. LCE disciplines are engaged throughout the entire product life cycle—from initial concept and design through deployment, sustainment, and eventual deactivation.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain supportability analyses and provisioning data, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and overall system-level objectives. Apply advanced logistics principles and analytical judgment to develop and enhance complex program-level concepts and plans with limited supervision. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and program teams—including Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and customers—to provide data-driven supportability insights that influence technical and program decisions. Lead or support spares analysis and spares availability modeling, identifying improvements to methods and data quality. Work autonomously within your technical area, contributing to moderately complex projects and establishing objectives that support broader program and life-cycle goals. Domestic or international travel may be required up to 10%.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with one or more of the following: data analysis, data collection, logistics, Engineering Documentation, Configuration Management (CM), or Product Data Management (PDM).
