Facilities Manager Melbourne, VIC | Full-Time Autonomous role managing a diverse property portfolio Strong mix of facilities, asset and stakeholder management Join a global leader with excellent career development opportunities About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Integrated Facilities Management team. In this autonomous and highly visible role, you'll be responsible for delivering facilities and asset management services, leading maintenance programs and managing contractors across a diverse property portfolio. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, regulatory and compliance requirements. This role offers significant variety, combining operational management, financial oversight, client engagement and continuous improvement initiatives while providing exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day facilities operations across a diverse property portfolio Oversee reactive, preventative and planned maintenance programs Conduct regular site inspections and condition audits Manage contractors, suppliers and service partners to ensure service excellence Review and assess maintenance reports, quotations and recommendations Coordinate work orders, purchase orders and invoice approvals Maintain asset data, site documentation and operating procedures Provide input into asset management and lifecycle planning initiatives Support risk, compliance and health and safety requirements across all sites Implement operational improvements and identify cost-saving opportunities Prepare reports, action plans and client updates Respond to after-hours emergencies and critical incidents when required Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders About You Minimum 2 years' experience in Facilities Management Demonstrated experience managing contractors and maintenance programs Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Experience working across both hard and soft services environments Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities Experience managing supplier contracts, quotations and procurement activities Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook Diploma in Facilities Management or related discipline highly regarded About Cushman & Wakefield Cushman & Wakefield is a global leader in commercial real estate services, with 50,000+ employees across 60 countries.
