Contribute (design, implement and maintain) Gardener Extensions / Kubernetes controllers in Go. Over time become a Gardener maintainer and fulfill all related tasks and challenges: write Gardener Enhancement Proposals, attend Gardener Technical and Product steering Committee meetings, perform code reviews. Accept and provide feedback. Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams and translate their needs into scalable and maintainable solutions. Attend Kubernetes meetings and contribute back in the upstream when needed. Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices to keep us ahead of the curve.
What you bring
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a collaborative, proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to clearly communicate and present complex technical concepts Very good understanding of Kubernetes, cloud, and container technologies. Proven hands-on software engineering experience with Go. At least 5-8 years of professional experience in a related field. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Profound background in agile software engineering. Ability to positively inspire as well as build trust, seed confidence and align people on common goals. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
